I just did some rough calculating and i came up with a figure for how much karaoke equipment i have moved over the last 15 years.  These figures are for set up and tear down.  2 trips per night.


THIS IS AMAZING

Aprox.   384,000 pounds a year.

5,760,000   That's over 5 3/4 million pounds. :O  :shock:

2,880     tons.    (Edited decimal typo) :oops:

This is why I got a pair of EV SX100s and got rid of my heavy but great sounding Yamaha S115Vs. It's also why I didn't want 18" subs. I will probably end up with either a Bose or just smaller speakers than what I have now. I'm willing to pay a premium to get smaller, lighter speakers that still sound great. I don't have a rack with an amp I have a very light weight powered mixer. Eventually I'll just lift equipment a few feet from my van onto a cart and the same at the end of the night. Toting and lifting are for the birds, I'm not a roady.
