Hi KJ's, I run s-video from my laptop to my karaoke monitor. I would like to send the signal to a projector screen, etc. so that the audience can see the words too. How do I do this with S-video. I can't find any switchers or routers in any major electronics store and they don't make s-video splitters. Please Help. Thanks, Luke |

Thanks, Luke Radio Shack should have an rf modulator that you can run one cord out of the rf modlator and split it that way. This should do the job with a splitter for coaxial: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... =techSpecs |

the amp I have has three video outputs, so that's three without even TRYING to use any other equipment... there's lots of video amping/splitting equipment out there, and just splitting wires (rca cord split to TWO rca female or male connections) will help for TWO monitors from one. http://www.cables4computer.com/CablingP ... program=PT Be careful of splitting one to two and splitting that one to two... signal degredation and interference will be a major issue. |

Radio shack used to have several different units on display in their stores that would handle the task. Lately, I haven't noticed them in the store See "5-Way" (I own two of these) http://www.radioshack.com/family/index. ... rter%20box Please note the one and only drawback with this unit is that the audio will not work if there is no video connected EDIT: the previous sentence s/b adjusted to reflect that there must be a video line connected, the video does not actually have to be playing |

If you need only one split, Ebay has a lot of s-video splitter cables and adapters. Radio Shack did at one time sell a small box that did multiple splits of either composite or svideo ( because I own one), but they're not availabe anymore. I bought mine on Ebay. DD |

Not sure if this will work in your situation but why not convert the S-video signal to a more cost efficient cable or wire. Radio shack does sell S-video to rca or composit type convertors. I assume the S-video source is your pc or laptop, connect the S-video cable to the adapter / convertor and use standard phono plugs and splitters to send the signal to all the monitors you wish. Using S-video connections and splitters seems way to expensive to me. I may be possible to connect the S-video cable to one monitor and "daisy chain" the signal to the other monitor via standard cables, that is if any of your monitors has a Video Out connector. Hope that all made sense. The S-video to phono plug convertor is a small device, similar to any other type of plug adaptor. Since Radio Shack seems so popular here I'll post the link, the adaptor is $14.95 I'm sure you can save a lot of money using the standard video wiring. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2405953&cp=2032058.2032231.2032280&allCount=321&fbn=Cable+type%2FVideo+adapters&f=PAD%2FCable+Type%2FVideo+adapters&fbc=1&parentPage=family |
