Post subject: | Another multiple video output question |
Hi, I know similar questions have been asked recently but I still haven't found the right solution for me. The video card on my computer has a DVI output for the lyrics display. I need to send this (lyrics) video signal to three places. 1. 19" tft monitor with DVI or VGA inputs. 2. Video projector with DVI, VGA, S-Video or composite video inputs. 3. Wireless A/V transmitter with composite input. Number 3 is for a couple of TVs which apart from composite input also have DVI and S-Video so maybe it would just be easier to get a DVI wireless transmitter on the video card's output and put wireless DVI receivers on everything (if such a thing even exists). Maybe an other option would be to convert the DVI output on the card to composite and just send everything a composite signal wirelessly with a normal wireless A/V transmitter. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. I have to start work in a couple of weeks and I still don't know how I'm going to do this. |

I am far from a computer expert, so I don't understand DVi And while I suspect that you're not asking the right question, I think I understand what you require. so I'll take a whack at it. I believe you are looking for a VGA/PC to TV converter. They can be purchased (plus any shipping charges) for anywhere from $40 -100. see the following http://sewelldirect.com/pc-to-tv.asp see also the following regarding multiple display outputs http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/24636 ... l-monitors |

DVI is digital video and like digital audio is not subject to noise. A DVI to vga adapter such as this used Then adapters to the others. |

many video cards that ONLY offer DVI for the secondary video also come with such an adaptor... and there are also dvi to s-video, etc... |

If the video card has a VGA output or you can convert the DVI to VGA, here is something I've used and it should work in your situation. AVerKey iMicro from AVerMedia. You can usually pick one of these up on Ebay for about $25 or less. The box has a VGA input and 3 outputs VGA pass-thru output S-video output composite video output So you could use: 1) use the VGA pass-thru for your monitor 2) use the s-video for your projector 3) use the composite for your wireless DD |
