It was suggested in the "discussion forum" that Winamp has a fade-out setting. Can someone please fill me in on that feature? Is it preset or controlled for each song, etc? thnx eric |

It is a preset setting. under options\preferences then under plugins\output select DirectSound output and then configure look under the fading tab. If you are wishing to do automatic fading then look into karayoker's plugin suggestion, if you want to set up a hotkey so you can manually control fading out with 1 preset hotkey let me know. |

Now, is there something that can be setup to use along with the Sax & Dotty's utilities that is preset? |

There also is a cross fader for WinAmp that works really slick when you are running music...doesn't work with karaoke, as it will fade in and out on the song, and sometimes cause the lyrics to get out of place. You have to remember to disable it when you do karaoke. I like it for automatic DJing, during breaks. It actually will overlap the songs and bring one down and the next one up over the top of each other. It sounds like a DJ is running a show. It's really cool with pre-recorded DJ mixes. I have "canned" playlists that I load up and it just works by itself. Okay, so I'm lazy... |

so, does anything suggested up to this point actually work with S&D. A while what's been discussed will clearly work for DJ applications, will it also work with autokdj? |

A while what's been discussed will clearly work for DJ applications, will it also work with autokdj? What exactly do you want to be able to do? Fade out of a karaoke song, fade out of a karaoke song and into fill music? or what. There are global hotkeys within winamp at least in ver 5.111 and above (possibly earlier versions too-I don't know for sure though as I use version 5.111) They are user definable and can controll virtually all functions of Winamp and as they are global they will work even when Winamp is not the active window (such as behind Sax N Dotty). I am sure you can set it up to do what you want to, just need to know exactly what that is. |

The fade out option of the Direct Sound output plugin of winamp WILL work with S&D. I have mine set to a 5 second fade on pause/stop. WORKS GREAT |
