Post subject:  I've been here for quite a while. . .

Okay, I’ve been here for at least eight or nine months. And I figured it was time to start using the forum. So why not introduce myself? (I feel awkward starting a thread to do this, is there some kind of official introduction thread?)

My name is Jon. I’m 19 years old and a Freshman at a northern Alabama college. (Well now that I’ve taken my last finals I’m Sophomore.) I’m majoring in Sociology and  minoring in Communications. I’ll either go to grad school for social work or law school for public interest law. Hopefully I’ll have that figured out by the time I graduate.  :(   My screen name is derived from my odd obsession with One Life To Live, All My Children, and General Hospital. I was home sick from school one day. . .nothing was on. I turned to AMC during the Babe Carey, Vianca Montgomery baby stealing storyline and I’ve been hooked and DVRing it every since.

When I’m not studying or working or watching soap operas. I like to do theatre. Mostly musicals obviously. As far as music in general goes I only started listen to non show tune type music a few years ago and began to feel slightly like a kid in a candy store. I started listening to almost everything (I still can’t stand rap or metal though) from Ella Fitzgerald to Panic! At The Disco.

Welcome aboard - I'm glad you've come out of the shadows.

There is good money in theater as long as you don't mind traveling or the burnout from doing the same show over and over again. I have a lot of friends who started out doing theme parks first then graduated up to musicals. Most of them have hung their hats up now. Getting married and having a family tends to make you stay in one place. It isn't the life style you want when you get older.
