Or anyone else that might know the answer.

Years ago when I was in Colorado, one of the bands I worked with did a song that I have never heard anywhere else. What I can recall, the lyrics included the following.

There was a boy
There was a girl
????

They never met
They never kissed
They never knew
What happiness they missed
‘Cause she lived on the morning side of the mountain
And he lived on the twilight side of the hill.

For you and I
Are just like they
For all we know our love
Is just a kiss away
But you live on the morning side of the mountain
And I live on the twilight side of the hill

That’s about all I can remember, but a very pretty song.  Anyone know the actual title and artist?

:hi5: Thanks, Could you post all the lyrics?  Do you know if this song is on any karaoke disc?

I did a search for this song, and came up with one by Celine Dion,  so then did a search for Tommy Edwards and came up with a song by him with that title, but just below it was one titled, Morning Side Of The Mountain.  Thanks for putting me on the right track.

All you have to do is search for "love is all we need edwards lyrics" on Google.

WRT karaoke, it is not out on karaoke AFAIK. Only two Tommy Edwards songs are, and that is not one of them.

OK, the song is called Morning Side Of The Mountain. Tommy Edwards did it first then Marie Osmond also sang it in the 70's.
It's out on karaoke according to KJPro: Disc # PSJT041 (track 10)  Label: Just Tracks-Pocket Songs

Morning Side Of The Mountain - lyrics (Tommy Edwards)

There was a girl, there was a boy
If they had met they might have found a world of joy
But she lived on the morning side of the mountain
And he lived on the twilight side of the hill

They never met, they never kissed
And they will never know what happiness they missed
For she lived on the morning side of the mountain
And he lived on the twilight side of the hill

For love's a rose that never grows
Without the kiss of the morning dew
And every Jack must have a Jill
To know the thrill of a dream that comes true

And you and I are just like they
For all we know our love is just a kiss away
But you are on the morning side of the mountain
And I am on the twilight side of the hill

For love's a rose that never grows
Without the kiss of the morning dew
And every Jack must have a Jill
To know the thrill of a dream that comes true

And you and I are just like they
For all we know our love is just a kiss away
But you are on the morning side of the mountain
And I am on the twilight side of the hill
