...you applaud for the jukebox after a show! ...you tell the host which effect to use and suggest the level to keep it at. ...your home system for fun cost more than the bar with the 7 night a week show! I started this topic years ago, and it is an alternative to the song thread. Let's see how creative the current batch of people here are. Besides, I like to print some of these and put them on the back cover of my books, so if you came up with a few good ones you can be immortlized! (or at least your screenname) |

You turn the Closed Caption on your TV during regular programs so you can see the words to recite along with the dialogue. |

Your wife saves you from yourself and refuses to go if you actually dress that way. Elvis glasses from a trip to graceland $15. Your wife refusing to make a white jump suit Pricless. When listening to a song on the radio, you are thinking of how YOU would change it up a bit in karaoke When listening to a song on the radio, you're thinking. You burn a custom disk with the tracks you want to sing that night. You have a bigger karaoke library than the show does. You have a better events calendar in your head than the paper has in it's pages. |

You look at your social calender and 90% of what is on there is karaoke related stuff You purchase storage devices for your 2000+ CDG's and it costs you over $1000 and you think it is an excellent investment When you get married and have your karaoke friends do solos in your ceremony, then when the reception starts, it's open mic karaoke for the entertainment. When your birthday cake has 52 karaoke microphone candles on it

...when one of your regulars comes up to you and says, "I heard that song Mummer's Dance on the radio and Lorena McKennitt does it wrong." (Because this is a song I have sung for years...this actually happened!) I don't know if that makes ME the addict or my regular... Either way, traces of addiction there. ..>Everything I have to remember is scribbled on a request slip, and every jacket I own is full of request slips with important numbers on them. ...You leave a copy of your own karaoke music comp disc in your vehicle JUST in case you happen to go by a show. ...You also have a copy of your BFF's karaoke music comp in your vehicle just in case she's with you when you might happen to accidentally find a show when you're out together. |

When you are building a new house and your plans include a 19 x 15 Karaoke Lounge complete with in the wall audio jacks so that you can place your sound system on one wall and control it from the bar with a mixer, and you have not one but 3 LCD monitors in the room LMAO
In addition you include materials for the walls that are acoustically suited for sound. And you plan electrical outlets for stage lighting and controls.....Totally sick I'm telling ya!
Sorry Keith no Pole in the center of the room....it blocks the view to the stage

that is why you put the pole ON the stage....do I have to think of everything?
.....when you hear a new song and wonder if it's in your key or you would hve to lower it- before you even hear the chorus. .....when you consult the internet before going on vacation to see where you can go while away to get your 'fix' .....when you pack your comp discs for vacation even tho you didn't find anywhere ahead of time, "just incase" |
