At 64$, Fasoft's "N-Track" is the best reasonably priced recording program that I have run into.

Seeing that most home recording enthusiasts use software plug-ins quite extensively, it really wouldn't matter whether your multi track recording program is Protools, Cubase or N-track - because you'd mostly be using the same plug-ins.

BTW, there are loads of free mixing and mastering "plug-ins" out there.

I'm no expert, but there....I threw in my 2c worth

Cheers!
Ron
