The rest of the story is they sold it to me on Ebay for 87 dollars & 89 cents.

These guys are at my show every week testing mine.  LMAO LMAO
Only they do more drop tests.

Even though I believe it, the video is inconclusive as they do not show any results after each torture test - they just said it still works. I know mine have been dropped enough to actually LOOK like their final result before & they did still work.

Closer look at the video and the wind screen looks different after a few of them. Dents are gone.

I thought the very last caption on the video posted where you could go download the actual sound test recordings done after each test 
Those are very good mic's btw

Well Shure Brothers do make some tough mics, even though the video was a bit ridiculous. However that's fairly equivilant to the abuse many karaoke "singers" will put on your mics. I once had a wireless dropped in a toilet, not a shure thank goodness, a Nady, it didn't hold up as well as the mic in the video.

I have a couple of sm58s I bought used. they came from the house system in a venue that did a lot of regional and national acts. I am quite sure they have been dumped in glasses of beer. I did take the screen off of one and cleaned it all out as well as i could with a toothpic as it was all gummed up. its a bit cleaner sounding than its brother. singers think its really cool that national acts have used the very same mike they are. I would be curious what difference the beer would make in the sound a day or so later when it was dried.
