Looks like they are getting out of the game completely & the latest releases will be their last!  Word from other forums is their legal battles with copyright infringement aren't going as planned!

That's sad. They were my favorite for years and was my source for  new music. If Chart Buster goes out I am done. I will not deal with the rest.  As far as I am concerned the publishers and greedy higher ups milked this business and then sued it into oblivion.

Wondering about Pop Hits Monthly as well.  Anything relating to 'product' on their page is coming up as unavailable.  I know they were in trouble a while back with another publisher.

Pop Hits Monthly has put out June 2008 disks for both the PHM and PHU line, according to my browse of various karaoke sites.

I was referring to their own page.  Maybe just site problems, but has to make you wonder.  Top Hits released through June as well.

If this happens, I'll be PO'd!  I have every 'country' disc they've put out.  I have the june disc already.  They did change format awhile back, most of their new stuff has black background with blue lettering...as opposed to red background.  Hmmmmmmmmm, makes you wonder....MrD

I haven't seen the email but supposedly they sent out an email stating they are going out of business.

This is all I have heard at this time.  But looks as though a couple people got the email.  Their website for panorama & karaokelinks went offline today.

NorthStar's website is also unavailable (the third monthly company).  I think they have smelled the coffee.

Panorama's defences did not impress the courts at all and they lost on all counts with a payout over $800,000 and have to pay the legal fees of the other side.  They shot themselves in the foot when earlier in the proceedings they informed the court they would notproduce any of Zomba's (the Complainant) copyrights and the very next month two of Zomba's copyrighted music were on Panorama's discs.  How stupid can one be.

Wow, could this be the end of almost all new karaoke?  I got into this biz at the wrong time I guess.

Well it could mean the end of illegally produced NEW songs.  Now everyone will have to wait fopr the legally produced new songs!

ut the legally produced new songs wont be new anymore by the time it's released.  Gnarls Barkley Crazy came out by the time it's been oversung and even radio play has diminished.  Only if they can predict the future of what song will be big in the next couple of months.
