I couldn't get the first one to come in. The Hitler one was interesting. I just realized Hitler has a comb over. It makes you wonder how a 4ft tall man that seriously needs a make over was so powerful. I mean geez that mustache and hair were horrible.

Babs, actually in the '30s and 40's it wasn't that hard. Most people heard him on radio, and he was a very powerful with his speeches. the only time most of the regular people might see him would have been on newsreels at the theatre. Remember no TVs back then.
As for the moustache, Charlie Chaplin made it a popular fashion statement for men many years before.

small man syndrome can account for a lot of nastiness...comb overs included
