Post subject:  looking for a certain version of a song I heard

(Hope I posted this in the right place, if not, please move)

Hi there,

I have been looking and looking for a particular version (karaoke version that is) of a song I heard in the Singer's Showcase.  The song is called "Eternal Flame" by the Bangles and the track used is the best one I've ever heard.  I'm posting a link here (let me know if this is not OK):

http://www.singersshowcase.com/song.php ... &act2=4618

Now here is the problem:
I have a karaoke version of this song too, in fact I have at least 5 or 6 of them and they all sound BAD compared to this version.  I would really like to purchase the version heard in the link above from the appropriate company.   I have done a search for this version on numerous sites and come up empty.  I also did ask the poster.

Does anyone know where I can purchase this particular version????
Did I make any sense? ;)

Thanx :)

PS please let me know if this is inappropriate.  Thanx :)

SOunds much like the Pioneer version, I don't have my laserdiscs home to compare, but sounds real close to that version.  Do not know where you would find a copy.

Hi there, I have the following versions:
Sound choice
Priddis (aka ProSound)
Music Maestro (not sure if I still have this one)
Karaoke Tribute (purchased the track on Napster, unsure of their real name; also the song is similar but NOT the same as the one used in the Singer's Showcase)
Sound Tracks (that is not the name of the manufacturer, just the karaoke studio I bought it from)

I have also heard samples of versions by:
Ameritz
Sweet Georgia Brown
Monster Hits
U-Best
Pocket Songs (can't remember what theirs sounded like)
Legends Series
Sunfly
Idol Makers

I've also tried:
iTunes
Napster
Selectatrack.net
proburn.com
Singtotheworld.com

the only ones I haven't heard to know for sure if they're the right version are:

Pioneer (found it on laserdisc only so far....PKL-040 but I want to hear it first before buying it, OR find it on a legal DVD)
SuperPower
Chartbuster

EDITED TO ADD:  The song is also on Pioneer CDG, PDG0011 Pop/Rock Vol. 11, but I don't know if it's the version I'm looking for.  I'm not sure if it's still available for purchase.  (I am checking eBay and other sites.)

I've tried any other place I could think of that offered karaoke of any format and still nothing.  I've found a couple similar versions but I could tell they weren't the same as the one in the showcase.
At one time I found the track (the exact version) on a peer-for-peer program.  Since then I've tried to purchase the CD, DVD, cassette, laserdisc, or whatever and came up empty.  I'm wondering if maybe this is only available in the UK or elsewhere?  (I'm in the US) I just want to find this track and legally purchase it, hopefully without having to pay $$$ (in the event it's on a "compilation").

If anyone can confirm the song in the link (see my above post) is by Pioneer or some other company, please let me know.

Thanx :)

I have the Pioneer CDG PDG0011 and can confirm that this is the version you're looking for. Not sure, if you can still find the disc though. Try ebay. Godd luck!

Have you tried sending a PM to the person who subbed the song on SS?
