he already answered you. To him, it's his way or the highway.

Personally, I don't agree with him on that, but I DO have similar rules myself,. say on the dropped mics, inappropriate behavior. I'm not near the nazi about it he is, but I have ejected people out of my shows for deliberately violating MY rules. One guy said on the mic, "Oh I see from the rules we're not allowed to toss the mics and to keep them away from the speakers..." and he promptly stuck my brand new wireless right near the 12" bass speaker!

Poof, I turned off the system, grabbed the mic, and bodily walked him out of the show. He was protesting, saying he was only kidding, and to lighten up. I didn't say a word until I came back and turned the system on. People kinda were in shock. "Next up, hey let's get Tommy up," I said. End of discussion.

So it's not rules I have a problem with, as I won't have someone dictate to me what I will do at my shows. I can respect his decision. What I don't respect is his mentality, and his reasons for doing it.

Just "because" doesn't fly with me. Didn't work when I was a kid, doesn't work now.

Yeah why would he purposely put himself into a position that he'd never be able to back up, then create an ultimatum to you because he knows YOU won't comply because of the utter rediculous terms he instilled?
He's had that little blurb about his songbooks going online for at least 3 years now. I even offered to help him at one point, with quite a bit of resistance & nasty (heavily language ridden) personal emails from him in return.
