Below is a suggestion I received on how to set up a mono operation out of my current amp/mixer combo. ( I have a Crown amp but I imagine it would work similiarly)

Just want to run it buy you guys and gals for opinions :

One way would be to connect your source into a stereo input channel and then go out the Monitor out into the EP2500 bridged pins 3 & 10 to the left. From there into the 1st speaker Chain the B1520 together.

Another would be to come out the Main out left side of the Mixer into the amp bridged and same chaining of the speakers.

Or build a y-connector & combine both outputs of the mixer to one channel & bridge the Crown. On the EP2500 you could just set the switches to "parallel" inputs & Channel 1 input will feed that signal to both channels - or of course it could be bridged as well. However, you have to make sure the amp can first handle the extra load in bridged mode - some cannot go below 8 ohms. Second, you have to make sure you aren't going to be overdriving your speakers. Bridging an amp can often push alot more power than in a standard stereo or dual mono mode.
So say you have 2 8 ohm speakers that require 400 watts each at 8 ohms. When you tie them together, you now have a 4 ohm load & now would require the amp to push 800 watts at 4 ohms.
Now, we'll use the Crown as an example. Believe you stated the XLS602? Well we'll use this one anyway if not. Now this is amp is not recommended to go below 8 ohms, so right out the gate, this amp would be out of the question for both speakers together.
The EP2500 will push 500 watts per channel at 8 ohms, slightly overpowered for the 400 watt rating in a stereo or dual mono mode, but not too bad. Put that same amp in a bridge mode & tie both speakers together, the amp is now pushing 2400 watts into 4 ohms (bridged). WAY too much for the 800 watts both speakers would need when tied together.

Now if you just use one channel, you would have to make sure you pan all channels to that output which would yield a mono output. Now if you have stereo channels, you would essentially lose half your signal because stereo channels do not allow to pan both channels down to one, unless there is a mono switch either on the channel or on the subgroup out.

Or, if you are using a CDG player as your source, double check it. Many give the options of Stereo, Left, Right, or Mono.......
