I have been trying to find a 2U case for my Behringer EP2500 amp, with no success. I need something fairly light as the amp weighs 36lbs by itself. I purchased a nice Gator soft case only to find it doesn’t have the necessary depth for my amp, unless I cut the rear rack mount even with the back of the amp. I now use that one for my speaker cables and extension cords. Also purchased a 6U case that was made by Musician’s Friend, when they manufactured cases. I was thinking I would have plenty of room for the speaker cables in it, along with the amp. The guy said it only weighed about 10lbs, try 27lbs. with the amp it’s just too much weight for me to lift. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The MF case is a very nice case and if anyone is interested in it, please PM me. I would only ask what I paid for it, plus shipping cost.

I don't know if you have access to Craigslist where you are, or how active the CL community is there, but we've had tremendous luck picking up items on CL. Could be Seattle/Tacoma is more CL savvy but it sure has saved us a lot of money.

I always try to go with at least a 4 unit . you never know if you will want to put a sonic maximizer in or have need for a crossover. I bought a 4 unit at guitar center with my QSC RMX 2450 the covers are like boxes, so the back of the amp hangs into the cover when I put it on, and I have to unplug the power cord every time, but otherwise it works well. still a bit heavy. I agree with above, gator cases are light and somewhat tough.
