I just taked to him...he's in pain.

I also talked to his nurse(he told me she had big boobs and was cute)so I had him hand her the phone

Things are looking good-he is destined to survive. his lovely wife is all mine while he's laid up.

If everything works out he will die and she will end up cooking for me.

Tell CJ to not leave the hospital 'till he gets a sponge bath.. Highly recommended..

Well i'm somewhat better i will tell you a perforated colon is no fun you see i have had diverticulitis for about ten years with very few problems until September of 2007 i have had several flare ups since then and was planing a colon dissection in the near future. well you know what the song says if you wanna here GOD laugh tell him your plans. i went fishing Wednesday with my brother big jim and started having severe pain lower left side i knew it was my colon but this time it was so severe i could barely walk. when i got home my wife took me straight to the hospital where after several hours and as many tests the cat scan confirmed a perforated colon, i knew something was up when i saw my gastrologist walk in, he then informed me that more than likely the next day i would be having surgery to cut out the bad piece of colon, but that i would have to wear a gastronomy bag for 3 months then they would reconnect me. wow what great news then after there fourth attempt of putting a nasal tube down my left nostril to drain my stomach contents they finally went to a 16 gauge and it went down on the 5th try, that was a very unpleasant experience. well i finally get in my room at 3:00 a.m. the surgeon comes in about 7:00 a.m. and tells me that he thinks we can clear the infection up and if we can wait about 4 weeks and then cut out the bad portion with the same procedure they use for a gall bladder removal then they go ahead and rejoin the colon without having to wear a bag. so thats where we are at i'm still in the hospital being fed several different drugs intravenously its a slow recovery i will be here for at least 3 more days, say a prayer for me......cal

thanks ya'll well i may get out tomorrow i am ready for my recliner at the house and maybe some real rest, its funny there just ain't no way you can get any rest at the hospital.....keith i guess your out of luck unless i kill my self at home getting caught up on my sex life.........of course in 4 weeks i will be back getting about 18' of my colon cut out so i hope i don't see ya here bribing the anesthesiologist....later...cal

that sugar you sent babs is sweet thanks....true its been an ordeal i don't want no rematch...should get out of here sometime today its 10:00 am here i am hoping to be home by 2:oo p.m at the latest....cal :wink:

This is why we Yankees don't go to Louisiana. Just because some guy thinks we have a purty mouf can land us in the hospital with a perforated colon too :shock:

well i been home for a week diet sucks, but better than wearing colostomy bag around i see the surgeon on the 19th to schedule surgery i hope he wants to do it on the 20th, that would be fine with me i wanna get this over with. in 24 years this only the second time i have been off work for a surgery i don't like setting at home but am not allowed to lift anything right now, can't even ride my bicycle for exercise......cal heres a pic of my game room karaoke stuff is on the other end of it...

Geez.... that SO looks like the game/karaoke room we had a few years ago. (well, I guess it was 2002 when we moved from there)

The hubby had a budweiser light above the pool table, multiple neon beer lights & signs, and one blowup (no, not a dollie, Lol) budweiser car. Same kind of setup, looks very similar. He collected them for quite a few years, and had some really unusual beer signs. When we moved he sold every single light and sign he had- and the pool table. Now he wants it all back, naturally. :roll:

:idea: - - - - Grand idea. When do you go in hospital? Maybe I'll just sneak down there and load up your stuff while your gone.... :D

Okay, that was in bad taste. Hope all goes well Cal. Looking forward to surgery is no fun, but you'll be so much better off after it's over and your healed. And if Keith gives you a hard time, just give me a call. (perhaps i can distract him till you're back on your feet) :brows:

THANKS GIRLS, well they called me yesterday moved my appointment up to the 16th two days earlier the sooner the better. i still have a couple of signs left to put up in my game room its quite large 1083 sq ft .but i am only allowed my certain area. i had the concrete poured and framed then my wife and i did all the rest it was a big job but its great to have a room where you can get 75 people or more and not feel crowded we have had some great party's. i spent a month everyday i was off putting the metal ceiling up it came off an old barn in temple oklahoma, my wife loves old things decorates all country. just ask keith every time i go see him the pickup is empty and by the time i get home after stopping at all the antique and consignment shops on the long drive home its completely full......cal
