Karaoke Forums

Hello all,

I am a karaoke novice and need your help with setting up a home karaoke system.

I currently have a 5.1 HT setup with an Onkyo Tx-Sr805 receiver. After reading various forums, I am thinking about doing the following setup:

Play the music from the karaoke player to my 5.1 HT system and get a separate amp/mixer and 2 speakers (smaller) to use for vocals only.

The connection would be like this:
For karaoke music: Karaoke player --> Onkyo Receiver --> HT Speakers
For vocals: Mics --> mixer/amp --> 2 speakers dedicated to vocals

My budget for the amp/mixer, 2 spearkers and mics is about $200 - $400.

Please give me your opinions AND what amp/mixer, speakers and mic I should get.

I would like to order the components by the end of the week so your opinions are appreciated.
