Interesting how this conversation has developed: Hey, let's go sing. Do you wanna ride with me, or should we take your rig? Two years ago conversation might have been something like this: "Hey, let's take mine. It's more fun, goes faster, is newer (choose one)." TODAY: Well, let's think about this. I just filled up yesterday...I put $75 in the old tank. I have 3 more days that i have to get to work and back...I'm down to about a quarter of a tank. I don't get paid for another week. The gas station I use, which is 3 cents a gallon cheaper, is near my work. I have to get groceries and I'm getting about a third less for my money at the grocery store. My health insurance company is on my AXX about my monthly installment payment for the colonoscopy I had, since my health care deductible is now up to $2500/year. Car insurance premium is due. Property taxes are due and now my house is worth less than my tax rate. Mortage co. won't let me refinance because I'm upside down. Thinkin' we should take your car ... (Then repeat above conversation) - Oh heck, lets just go and have a drink at the local bar. K |

I don’t know how many times in the past few months I’ve just wanted to get out of the house for awhile, maybe just go for a ride and enjoy the countryside, used to do that a lot, but then the practical me jumps up and says NO! You can’t afford to waste the gas. [/font]

Sorry about the color thing. I'm an idiot and never checked if it was a good shade. Yellow is much easier to see. |

Gosh karen that is soooo true. Things are changing quickly around here. On the Chicago news they said there were more scooters sold this month than all of last year. We are going to start looking more like the Europians with so many scooters. |

I hate to say this here, but I just feel the need because the door is open. I am cringing as I say this. What do scooters and ugly women have in common? They can both be fun and kind of intriguing, but you never want to let your friends know that you are riding one. Okay, I'm sorry for that bad joke....I just couldn't resist because I've heard it a few times myself recently and I don't think I should be the only one to hear this bad joke. |

 I do feel cooler on a motorcycle.
I think our mind set in the states will change soon. Our stigma of riding scooters is silly especially when we may see gasoline prices hitting $7 a gallon. |
