Hi All!

I've posted a couple of questions in the Technical Forum and got some great help. Thought I'd better pop in here an introduce myself. My name is Mike Barefield and I operate Klass Act Productions in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I hope I'm not violating a rule by mentioning that my website is at http://www.klassactproductions.com. I had my first karaoke gig in this area on March 14, 2008, and have been very well received. I now have 5 regular weekly karaoke shows. Karaoke is the bulk of my business and I absolutely love it - always have. I've had the good fortune to also book several DJ gigs, including Weddings, Sweet 16s, Anniversary and Graduation parties, and I have contracts for 22 more such events. I've actually grown a little faster than I wanted to, and I'm tired, but it's the best kind of tired! I started hosting karaoke as a hobby in Ohio way back in the early 90's, but left the business for years. It has taken me some time to get used to the new technology. I am only now ripping my CDGs to hard drive - unbelievably boring. I expect to be finished within 6 weeks. With a karaoke gig 5 nights a week and a DJ gig nearly every Saturday, it's a very slow process. I'm really looking forward to having it finished, though.
