I just got of the phone with Chris from sound choice and they said they just got permission for the last song needed on the headbangers hits Vol 15 and said it should be out by end of July..just thought I would pass this info along to the rest of you..anyway how many are planning to buy the Headbangers Hits ???

It's funny how they could release the entire disc as singles over at the custom site for the last 3 months though. Friend of mine brings his custom of the entire new Headbangers disc in and has been singing Women & 2 of the Judas Priest songs almost nightly and has had it for at least 2 months. Great versions of those songs BTW.

Well i'll probably pick it up though.

I don't get how you can buy them individually, though. What exactly kept them from putting it all together on the one disc(other than custom)?

You can get individual tracks through their own custom site.

No, I understand completely that you can buy them individually from the site.
What I don't understand is why they couldn't/wouldn't(?) release the completed disc for us to buy, yet we can buy the exact same disc if its a custom made disc.
Makes ZERO sense.

Man, I remember them saying late June early July. Not sure what the hold up is, it's been available on their custom site since April or so.

Once they put it on a single disc for $20 -they won't be able to sell the individual songs for $5 each :withstupid: :angel:

Sure they will. They sell them to me all the time -- when I want one song off the disk. I don't care to pay $15.00 extra for 14 songs I care nothing about.

When I find songs that are sung frequently and that I dont' have a decent version for, I add them to a list and buy a custom disk when I get 12-15. I was using Karaoke.com for a while, and now I am using SoundChoice. Chartbuster makes good enough compilations that I buy those instead -- SoundChoice's compilations, when they deign to produce any, are limited indeed.

Songs that singers request I get from Tricerasoft.com for a dollar. The version isn't as good, but when it might get sung three times I am not going to pay $5.00 for it. If it turns out to have some staying power like "Before He Cheats", "Here For The Party", or "Kerosene", then I can decide to buy the better version if I want. (I did for Before He Cheats, not for the others.)

That's a good point. There a quite a few discs out there where I only wanted 1 or 2 songs off of it.

On the other hand, if I wanted 2 songs and they were $5.00 each, I would probably by the whole disc for $15.00 just in case my friends (or customers) would want to sing some of the other choices. :)

Oh, and the Headbangers?... I'm there!

i called soundchoice today and they said that the headbangers disc is done they are just wait on delivery so we should be getting it anytime soon...hopefully..just thought i would pass along the info

I'm told that the reason you can get certain tracks on this site only is that SC bought this company which is based in the UK and therefore, the copyright regulation is different :roll: For ex. you can still buy the Supertramp tracks on this site but not available on their cdg disk :wink: BTW, got this from the biggest CDN distributor :wink:

maybe... Soundchoice is learning the ropes of today's neogotiating environment, and it won't take months of delays on the next CD. :|

Song-at-a-time customes may become the new model, though.

SC Headbangers disc 9002 is out I order it today and should have it by the end of the week...just thoght I would let you all know if you didnt..order it...it will be a great addition
