Fortunately most of the time there's only two of the same name in that night, although I can have three Dans at times. I use last initials, nicknames, and sometimes just point. Justins are hard... one is Justin M, one Justin N, and neither has ever had a nickname. It's like with the Alicias (all pronounced slightly differently)... I'll speak very slowly, precisely, point and go "OK listen up. Justin M! You're next."

What are your problem names?

Dave is the bigg one around here. That's why I sing as diamond dave Dave

I have
2- Michelle
2- Kay
2- Bubba... common name in Tennessee
2- Mark... last night was the first time for either to sing at my show
2- Jerry... 3 counting myself, the other 2 have the same last name too and not related.

My real name is not Mickey -- it is self defense because of how common my name is. I got sick of being "Indiana Mike" or "Mike #3" or whatever, and started going by my old Navy nickname.

All the male singers go by the name. Yakub

Don't have any of them Jian, whatever that is. Hmmmm...

No Bubbas either. Wrong part of the country for that I guess.

Only one Dave and one Mike.

All the Sarahs and Justins are in their mid-twenties. Must have been hot names for babies in the early 1980s.

Two more names that there are often more than one in the room at the same time: Erin and Megen.

Not really too many repeat names in WNY. A couple Amandas once in awhile, Megan is a big name here, too.

Kristan, Bob, Mike, Bill, Jessica, Jim

I've got a lot of people with similiar names. Not a problem for me though. Most people have karaoke names.

Boogie Davis - Jim
Window Jimmy - Jim
Jim E - The guys last name is actually the letter "E" (wierd)
J Unit - Jim
