Just wanted to check and see if anyone here has any experience with the EV ND767a mic. I've seen a lot of good reviews for this mic, but would like to have some feedback before I make a decision about buying one. Thanks, Scott. |

It's a wired mic. It is of good quality but rank the same a the standard Shure, AKG and Sennheiser mics. |

Yeah, I've got an older model EVND 257a and it's equivalent to an SM58. Great mic with low handling noise and excellent output. I'd assume the 767a is a newer version. No idea on the price, but if it's cheaper than an SM58, go for it. If it's the same or higher, stick with the industry standard SM58. |

ND767 is supercardiod which puts it in the same general class as Shure Beta 58 and Audix OM5. I've used 767s in bands and they seemed to have more proximity effect than my usual mic (Beta 58) which can be either flattering (if you voice is thin) or mushy. Some singers just love 'em. EV's can really make you sound larger than life. They're cheap used and although I don't have one myself I'm thinking of doing the same thing... picking one up as a alternative mic. |

ND-767 mics are used by top pro singers. I know at least two lead singers (John Kay and Paul Rodgers) who have used them a lot. |
