Post subject:  CDG Cases

What is the best method storing and transporting your CDG's?? Do most people prefer a soft cover "book style case" or are jewel cases with a hard box.

Also, using the book style case (binder) how much damage is done to a CD when it is slid in and out of a plastic cover on the page of the binder??

Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

When I first started, I had my individual CD cases -- but once I past a few hundred, laziness set in and I went to Caselogic.

Eventually the cases or books will cause some damage no matter how careful you are. You can minimize damage by not using the first page and the last page.

I use car wax on my software, and some of them still look like they did on the showroom floor

I know this topic has been discussed before..

NOW..on my personal CDG's I use the binders... But I use the plastic jewel cases on the show tracks.. it really saves for me wear & tear on the media. depending how careful you are with handeling them. they usually now travel in ATA Approved (ATA-300) style "BATTLE" Cases for CD's. I think only 5 manufacturers have picked up on these style of cases based on the "DJ's turntable" cases but have modified them for cd cases. I use only 2 of those manufacturers' cases. they are consideded a "Custom" case but may be a regular line for air travel (ATA-300) soon.
