Hi all:
Those of you who have been members of this board for a while will know that I am always tinkering with something on the computer and it sometimes relates to karaoke. You may also know that I have a special place in my heart for "French Postcard" type photographs that were taken around the turn of the last century featuring lovely ladies who were posed wearing very little if not less. Combining this tinkering and the really old naked lady pictures and a new technique for colorizing black and white photos (eat your heart out PhotoShop) and some fairly wild and colorful raster graphics… I came up with some pictures that could be used as a backing for announcements such as who’s up next. I can assure you that all of the pictures are in good taste and none of the ladies are posed doing anything more provocative than reading.
For health reasons I no longer KJ, so what I am looking for is someone who would be willing to use these background pictures over a period of weeks and let me know what the crowd reaction is like. These are standard bitmaps so they should work with any version of Windows. If you would be interested please PM me.

Tis’ sadness tis’ sorrow tis’ pity tis’ true there’s not a daring soul among you?
The example above is the least naked of the bunch and the downsizing and jpeg compression doesn't do it justice.

Tinkering with graphics programs can become an addiction. I too love to get immersed in graphic design. I appreciate the work that went ino this ! It looks like you found a way to merge 2 great hobbies in one.
Although I think it's a great idea I am more monkey based. All my art work has a monkey theme.
Beautiful work !

As one who has always enjoyed flogging a dead horse I can't help but give ol' Ned one more whack to make sure he has truely given up the ghost. If you would like to have a look at the rest of these backgrounds take a trip to www.freewebs.com/sacksonuts Okay, I'll shut up now.

I missed this thread back in August... thanks for bringing it back up.
I love the idea of the different way of making said images. I did a very similar (but not NEAR as good) way of introducing my singers!
Big-time congrats Weeds!
Huzzah!

when you look at the beauty of these women one has to wonder why the world, of recent times, adopted a fascination for stick insects

I see where you're going.
One of my biggest gripes with Compuhost is how "locked down" the 2nd screen layout is - I'd love to have bitmaps for whan people are up, to be able to move the text around etc.

Can you tell me what you mean by "2nd screen"?

Thanks Nlouch:
Sometimes I am astounded by my own stupidity. This would be one of those times.
Could it be that the reason no one is interested in giving these background bitmaps a try is because their hosting software does not support the use of background bitmaps? (sigh....)
I have also just discovered that it is difficult to type intelligibly when one keeps banging one’s head against the keyboard.

Primary screen: The one with the Compuhost interface on.
2nd screen: The presentation one - the one with lyrics and display on.
