I'm a brand-new DJ getting basic information on karaoke. I'll read throughout the forum before launching into my questions. Thanks. 8)

Welcome.
There's lots of good information here, especially if you are just starting out.

This is my second post - Done the night after about 3 hours of surfing Karaoke scene and Google Karaoke sites. I'm still confused about how to take CDG from a disc to my hard drive. I plan on using PCDJ-VJ to play them (or another program if PCDJ-VJ won't play it well). I don't know if the player affects how I rip it. Can anyone suggest to me the most common and user-friendly program(s) that people use to take the CDG from CD to hard drive. :?:

[font=Verdana] Hi Ben, Welcome to KS.

I run a CAVS player and use their MCG Manager program (available for free on their website, cavsusa.com) to rip discs to my hard drive, but I think there are more user friendly programs available, and it isn’t a program to use on your computer to play your music..

You are down in my daughter’s area, she has a café in Marietta called PJ’s in an industrial area neighborhood. If you are ever in the area stop in and say hello!

Hi New Guy, Ben.

I'd post your question in the tech forum. The guys over there will give you more options. :D

Thanks - I rarely get to the industril area of Marietta but I'll keep my eyes open for it next time I go through there.
