Friends in Low Places--it's an overdone song, so do it maybe once a month, but most people sing along to it without being asked anyhow! ;)

Family Tradition ... Tequila ... What's Up ... Just a few that always create a group sing-a-long.

Hope your show is doing well!

Did a gig on Sunday for a local pub, and it had a very tight community. End of the night, I had all the regulars up on stage (~20 people) singing along passing the mics around:

Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
Beatles - Hey Jude
Queen - We Are The Champions

Cliche'd crap, but they loved it.

Trying not to repeat the other songs already mentioned.....

The Gambler --- The Audience usually likes to do the back-up vocal part.
American Pie --- The Audience usually likes to join in for the chorus.
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) --- I like to get the Audience to join in for the chorus.

based upon many of the responses I've seen to this question (now and in the past) almost any song might be considered a sing-along in one venue or another

I have a list I work with for sing alongs that is quite extensive. I have cordless mics that I pass out and always use a vocal track!

I can't express what makes for a good sing-along song, but if the crowd likes it I guess that's the difinitive answer.

She Hates Me and Santeria are the most common singalongs in my place. And it's just because they've been done so much, they've been pounded into everyone's head.

Santeria has been done at least once every night for the last 2 1/2 years. I'm sure I could sing it in my sleep, and I hardly knew the song before karaoke.

Everyone yells "Hey!" at the appropriate time in What's Up, if that qualifies as a singalong.

Even during Picture I catch people mindlessly mouthing the words along with the singers. You know if it's done over and over and over....

I consider that song to be a groan-along.

LMAO Groan-along-song

Sometimes songs become sing-a-longs just becuase a regular sings it everytime they come in. It's a way of coping with the dull drum of it. That is a Groan-along-song!

I like the odd songs for a sing along... you know, the ones people don't want to ADMIT but they know it??!! LOL

Tequila - The Champs... yes, people will do the Pee Wee Herman dance to it! LOL!

((edit)) I see someone else did this first! My apologies!
TONS of others though!!

Here are some that may seem obscure to a younger audience, but for those who are history buffs (WW2 era):

"We'll Meet Again"- Vera Lynn
"Pennsylvania 6500"

And the timeless "Auld Lang Syne" (of course primarily for New Years)

Bohemian Rhapsody - hands down my favorite sing along. And amazing enough the guys and gorls always do the right parts....LOL

We also do one at the house which is tradition at every party. I don't know the title but is goes something like this: To wall, to the wall, to the window, to the window, till the sweat run down my b@ll$. It's definately a song for adults...
