The absolute best sound engine is Cakewalk Sonar which supplies ASIO drivers for cards like the Delta 44. Frank from RoxBox has had a sound engine which comes very close for a couple of years.

BTW in a couple of weeks we will be alpha testing version 3 which does away with Winamp.. When it reaches the beta stage I will convert it to Linux and I will never look back....

:D Ive made a lot of money with Winamp!!! Winamp has made more money for DJ's and Kj's than anything else. It has been a professional standard for a decade.

When you talk to an old deer hunter they will say the Marlin 30/30 lever action rifle. When you talk to an old KJ/DJ they will say Winamp..

HMM lets see... At least $125/week ave for 8 years... And thats just soc sec supplement..

Are you saying that Winamp could finally sound good??? I think Winamp & the MTU software uses the worst sound engine I've ever heard, but are still very nice software to use

I wish I could get back on the board but I lost my password and everytime I try to get it sent to me I never receive the email. I'd like to be part of getting version 3 out. I left using roxbox for shows because I don't trust winamp after it decided that over half my dj music doesn't exist.
