Charlie Robison has one called "You're not the best, but you're the best that I can do". Best of all it's out on karaoke. I forget what manu. A local group called the Geezinslaws have one called "Help! I'm white and I can't get down" and another called "Wish I had a job to shove" |

I'm just a singer with my own home studio and don't keep up much, oh alright I do some, with the newer versions of what now days passes for Country. I like and sing the old fashioned Country-and-Western songs of the past golden era or also known as Country Classics, Oldies but Goodies Country and sometimes also known as Western Swing. I rarely sing anything newer than about 1985 or so and feel most comfortable with the songs released in the late 40's, 50's, 60's 70's and some 80's and occasionly an odd one or two of the more recent era. I guess that 'dates' me but so be it. I like what I like. IMHO - At least with songs of that era I agree with Dolly Parton, I don't have to look and see who the artist is while listening to their music. I can usually tell just by hearing their unique voice and a verse or two to know who the singer/artist is of the oldies era. |
