OK so whats with the equipment reviews you read on the on line "pro audio" stores.
Are they for real or just submitted by the MFG's to bolster sales ?
It seems like for every GOOD review there is a BAD one who rave about another brand......almost like opinons here

What is the best source for unbiased proaudio equiptment reviews ( besides here on KS)...just curious

They aren't all fake -- I have submitted a few. I know some others are not fake either. I did one on July 8, 2007 for the XM8500, and one in 2006 for the PMH3000, and probably a couple more.

In general, the ones on Musician's Friend seem on target. Even though I have come to hate their (lack of) service, they have the best reviews.

They are real. I've submitted several in the past that have made it up.
They are just personal opinion & experience. The reviews from like magazines are usually kind of biased - why piss off a potential advertiser, so they tend to pad some of the bad over the good and typically won't review what they feel is bad in the first place.
Best reveiws are IMO from the people who use and/or own the equipment. Then take it how you percieve it. My favorite site is
www.prosoundweb.com
You'll probably get more reviews & advice there on pro sound equipment than anywhere else, just don't tell them you are doing karaoke, they tend to not be real big on that since these guys do pro/semi pro sound for live bands.....lol.

Yes, I say "backing track gigs and small combos" .
