This is what I have been saying in other posts Ollie, our govt. leaders are no better than the ceo's that many of us are so disgusted with. We have been running deficits almost continously since the 60s? Can't remember exactly, but it's been many years. Ron |

You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!! -----Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men" I think the truth is almost as bad as not knowing the truth. When we know the truth, the economy gets even worse because we are afraid of the "futures" as in the oil prices. We pay for "futures" prices at the pump which is why barrell prices go down but gas prices don't. We bet on what it will be later and pay the price. If we really knew how screwed up our economy was, the economy would come to a screaming halt because everyone would be afraid to spend and invest. I don't know what the truth is and I am afraid that it will scare me. |

Well with the first "deal" everyone was promised a chicken in every pot and a Chevrolet in every garage. What did they promise us this time to bend and grab our ankles? |
