Got an e-mail from Pop Hits Monthly advertising their latest releases and the e-mail had this note at the bottom of the letter:
"For your convenience, we have embedded all MP3+Gs with metadata, allowing for convenient cataloging and the effortless creation of playlists. All MP3+G formatted files will be individually watermarked for future KIAA field validation and adhere to the new KIAA file naming convention scheduled to be released soon."
Does anyone know what they mean by KIAA file naming convention?
Are they going to make some law telling us how we can name our files or what? And how do you watermark a MP3+G file?

Hey if it's a way to LEGALLY be digital, why not - a file is a file, as long as it can be searched the same in your hosting program, who cares? ALMOST sounds like there is an RIAA for karaoke being created - KIAA>? Haven't heard anything about it though. Anyone else?
