Post subject:  Upload Problem
I haven't tried to sub here in a long time. I gave up trying to sub under my old nic..and tried a new one...but it still times out. I cannot find any issues with my pc, speed, space, security...etc. Can anyone give me an idea what is going on?

hiya it is happening a lot of the time to many of us. I have forgotten when the last time was I uploaded a song on my first attempt. I guess you will just have to keep trying...oh and maybe get into the habit of typing your description into a txt doc and copying and pasting into the description box...that way its a simple matter of pasting it again for however many times it takes to upload.

Hi Morgan, thanks...I wonder why it is doing that? Ive tried up to five and six times...at a time..and given up over the past week or so. Ill try again at another time. Thank you!

well you could always leave that question for the admin in comments and suggestions but they havent answered us so far...still there is always hope that someone they are sick of whinging at them might have better luck :lol:

lol well that might be their excuse too...and no phil I am not talking bout you...its more aimed at the one you said has been "upgrading" and causing you problems

I tried to upload today and after a while the upload page switched to the standard "Webpage Not Found" page. II hit refresh and immediately had a page load telling me that I was trying to upload a file that was not mp3 format. Well, if I look at the 'properties' of the file, Windows tells me it is MP3 format and it is under 3MB.

I tried to upload it again and again it failed. So I tried a different file with the same result. By this time, my time was up at tthe library and I got booted off. A short time later I logged back into SS on a laptop and was able to upload the song without a problem. Could be the fact the library was busy and therefore the data tranfer was slow... but pages were loading fine wiitthout delay which would make that argument mute... unless the SS upload algorithm is just so impatiently sucky!

Your request cannot be processed....


Select file of recording should be .MP3 format

Go Back and resumit the form.

I think I know when an mp3 is an mp3 lol...

giving up ....again.

My dad had the same problem, the only solution was Firefox :wink: He was using Internet Explorer :!: Good luck :wink:

Hi Yall! Yup is me! Im also AFMom...I made a new nic cuz I thought my old account was just too old..but it didnt help...What is firefox? I hate downloading new stuff! I would love to sub a little but it wont let me! Great to see you all!

well...i downloaded firefox..and it worked..s o obviously the script no longer works with some versions of microsoft internet explorer? I t uploaded in seconds! Thanks for that tip!

:wink: Also, make sure to activate Adblock & NoScrip as part of the add-ons :D

I had the same prob with trying to ul a sub today, had to do it with Firefox because IE would have nothing to do with it. BTW, nice to see AND hear you again Kass :hug:
