Just curious if someone can point me to a site where I can download kid rock's all summer long mp3+g? Id like to just get the song instead of buying the whole cdg. Thank you very much!

They are based in the UK so since the rules are a little more relaxed as to what they can offer, they are legit.

I'm just wondering if a song that you download from overseas is legal to have here in the U.S.?
There are TONS of things that are sold overseas that are not legal to have here and if you are caught with them you could get a fine or worse!
What makes these songs any different?

Absolutely Nothing makes them different. 'Possession' is 9/10ths of the Law!

This is getting off topic a bit. Just out of curiosity and because legality issues have popped up at my own favorite karaoke bar, I asked a customer service rep at BuyKaraokeDownloads a specific question about using their downloads. I really wasn't sure about the legitimate uses of purchased karaoke downloads. Here's the question and response:

Yes. It's no different than a KJ using our downloads in their show.

Yes, but this new one is a first. They have SoundChoice. All the other ones, like buykaraokedownloads.com and tricerasoft.com, have the lower-quality tracks.
Currently I am getting my Soundchoice for $4.00 per track and it has to go on a CD with a big lag time, and a minimum 10-track purchase. If I can get them one by one for half that, instantly, it is a big difference.

Well, this is from the Q&A section of Karaoke-Singles.com Seems like they'd be asking for big trouble if their statement wasn't true.:
"Are your songs licensed?
We are members of the MCPS-PRS (Mechanical Copyright Protection Society-Performing Rights Society). They will make sure of the royalties due to the artists are paid for each song we sell. We provide them a report with all of the songs sold."

This seems dicey at best by my evaluation. I could understand this if they were just playing them, or creating their versions of the songs. But to copy a SoundChoice track for resale would seem to be a completely different story to me.

Well apparantly Sound Choice is now overseas & their discs are MCPS protected. A thread was started on that yesterday.

So maybe they now gave their rights, who knows?
