I'm pretty technically challenged so bear with me. I have the demo of Compuhost and tried to use a TV monitor for a potential singer and cannot figure out why I can't separate the display from the karaoke host screen and the TV monitor singers screen. I just purchased a new HP Pavillionn dv2000 notebook lap top. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. :?

You need to search the net for "extended desktop howto". It will depend on your system, but for most Ctrl-Alt-F12 will send you to the right screen.

For mine it is:

1. Plug in S-video to television
2. CTRL-ALT-F12
3. Select "Extended Desktop"
4. Select the primary to Notebook, Secondary to Television
5. Apply, then OK on the popup

If you are using the VGA out instead of the SVideo, send the secondary to Monitor.

Your procedure will be different, but similar. Good luck!

The way I get there is to right click on the desktop....Properties.....Settings tab, then click on the monitor #2 and check the box below that says "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor"
And Voila!
I'm using VGA out.

Make sure you have the TV hooked up before you turn on the computer as well. Sometimes the hardware won't recognize the 2nd display after the computer is turned on.
