I have been reviewing the trial version of this program and i am having difficulties determining all the available functions. I have an external harddrive that I am pulling my song base from. When I try to do a search for a song, the days left on my trial period comes up and locks the program up. Is this because it's a trial period? Any help you can give me as to navigating through this would be greatly appreciated. Also, will this program enable me to make up song lists?

I don'y know about Sax N Dotty's, but I use AutoKdj and others have said it blows S&D out of the water. Plus, it's totally free!

Can I make up song lists with this software?

You could look here at the features page on the S&D website --> http://www.sax-n-dotty.co.uk/features.htm

It doesn't exactly say you can create a song list (assuming you mean for songbook purposes), but I believe S&D uses Microsoft access for its database and I am sure you could take a copy of it and work with that or export to some other format such as *.xls or *.csv

As far as built in songbook capabilities - no, it does not have that.
I know there is a free Acess database converter available that will take the S&D database file and convert to a usable format for printing songbooks (also has several option types)...I would have to google around to see if I can find it again.

As far as I know, AutoKDJ offers an export function. But I'm not quite sure.

Best advice is, to try different hosting programs and see, what you like best and what works for you. Most of them have a trial version.

Sax & Dotty's exports your database in .CSV format. There is also an option to export your database minus duplicates.
