Wow Pumpkin Farms have really changed. We went Sunday and I was amazed at all the attractions. Corn maze, camel and pony rides, pig races, hay ride, haunted house, and zoo. The zoo had so many animals - camels, kangaroos, lemurs, tigers, leopards, zebras, bears and a whole lot more. The funny part is we went to get pumpkins and the pumpkins were crappy. I guess the crop this yr had trouble.

We have a catapult to throw the bad pumpkins at a van over 100 yards away. We know how to grow them out here. Wats the problem?

They did have some huge dragon looking thing that the kids could put pumpkins in and he would eat them.

We did go to Richardson's Farm last year where they tote the largest corn maze. But I believe that was in Illinois too. Maybe we'll hit WI next year.

Hey Babs, I'm from Chi Town too and I went to the one down south in Homer Glen....Bengtsons Farm. www.pumpkinfarm.com Not only did they have a lot of cool stuff, but it got a bit pricey too to bring the kids. I took my niece and nephew and I spent quite a bit more than I thought I would. They get ya on the food. All I can say was that a cotton candy cost more there than a White Sox game and we all know that pro sporting events are all about making the money. Of course I didn't care because we had fun, but I may have to go back to my street performing ways before next year's trip to the patch.

Now if you want to see a real pumpkin farm, may I introduce you to the late great Howard Dill's (The Pumpkin King) pumpkin farm.
