Years ago we were in Kingston on liberty. The shore patrol came and hauled everybody back to the ship (USS Little Rock) 2nd Fleet Flag. We were at real general quarters before we hit the sea wall. We carried about 50 nuke missles and all of a sudden were under orders to use them if ordered. It was the Cuban blockade. John McCain at the time was a Navy pilot on the Enterprize waiting for orders. People dont realize how close we were to nuclear war.
Right now he is totally dedicated to this country with everything he has. He does put country first If you dont know this by now you are naive. Obama is on an ego trip. His only agenda is getting a black in the whitehouse and promoting sociailism. (nothing against blacks I rather see CondY) If he is elected this country will go further down the road to destruction. And your opinion money and self control will further belong to the government.

If McCain didn't have Palin as a VP running mate, he'd stand a better chance. I do find it odd that Palin is being called out on being inexperienced since Obama doesn't have much himself, but hey look at Bill Clinton's experience before he was elected. He was the governor of Arkansas. Ronald Reagan was an actor than govenor of CA.
I don't think anyone has enough experience in being president or VP before they take the job. None of them really know what they're in for until they get the job. More importantly to me do they have the intelligence, character and trustworthiness to make the right decissions for our country. Experience in the senate or as govenor can show us if in the past they have portrayed these characteristics, but that is about all I look for.

Once again, Obama was elected by the people, after a long tough battle against some big time, very experienced candidates. Palin was hand picked by one, or at most, a very few people, who had met her only once, or not at all. She was thrust upon us. A gimmick to help McCain get elected, while Obama picked someone with the experience to actually help him make informed decisions, if elected. Remember, Biden said some unflattering things about Obama, but he mended the fence for the good of the country. You can ask any expert. It's easier to be articulate when you speak the truth, believe in what you say, and are truely sincere, and I don't see any que cards when Obama speaks......

The best thing McCain and Palin should do is lose with dignity. Right or wrong the Republican party has taken a big hit for everything thats wrong right now. And there is a lot thats wrong right now but It's not the end of the world.......Yet!
Tennessee's electoral votes are projected to go to McCain.
Oh but we do have Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman.

Amen to that ! I saw the candidate who is running for president under the socialist party and he said that in no way is Obamas tax plan socialism.he claims as far as socialists are concerned he has nothing to offer them...and he should know cause thats his platform hes runnin on.

in all fairness though after our last fight Ollie, i did some deep fact digging on Mccain and a lot of bad stuff said about him is more questionable than fact. Though I still want Obama to win this thing, thanks to you, I am a little more comfortable if Mccain wins than i was before i got on that last forum
