BruceFan, I hope you don't mind I started a new thread on the topic you mentioned.
The way I deal with that kind of group is to treat them all as one spot in the rotation. Fortunately, I don't have too many 20-somethings in this area, so it's not an issue very often.
What stinks is when one person in that group wants to do a solo. I'll reluctantly put them up, knowing the inevitable will happen... the rest of the group will come up and "help". So now we all get to endure the entire group taking up 2 spots in the rotation.
I'm very curious how Bill H handles this. I have the impression that his room is MOSTLY 20-somethings. Seems like that age group is more into "team singing" and less into "rock star" singing.
