Post subject:  It's Good to Finally Meet!
I'd like to give a great big thanks to Swingcat and Flipper for the visit last night. Hubby's band was playing in Portland and these great guys came out to do a 'meet and greet.' Kurt, great photos of the band - thanks so much. Flipper - gotta admit that second band gives a new meaning to WTF, didn't it? LOL. Hopefully we'll get together again ... with other Oregonians ... soon ... and get into some karaoke mischief somewhere.

I am so jealous. I'm glad you all had such a great time.

It's always fun to meet people from KS. The people I've been fortunate enough to have come to my shows have been wonderful !

Oh man you folks should have been there. Karen was referring to the band that traveled all the way from San Fransisco to play here in Portland. If you remember the movie Spinal Tap and took the talent level down about 20 notches this was the band that she was referring to OMG it was so bad it was comical. My ears are still hurting.

On the other hand her hubby's band was excellent and by far the best band I have heard for quite some time. They played original songs for most of their performance and were really "Tight"

It was great to meet you and your husband and look forward to your next visit down here. Next time we will plan some karaoke time together!

I'm waiting for Swingcat to forward the photos to me and then I will post for all to see.

Yet another...Notice the "Ear Plugs" That was for the band that played just prior to Karen's husbands band. I have been to AC/DC and Ted Nugent concerts and sat way up front and never heard anything so loud as these guys. It was really painful...OMG they were AWFUL...LOL

Oh I See... Ya WAIT until I move away from Portland (two and a half years ago) and THEN come out to see the Portland folks!

See how ya are! LOL! I lived there for many a year and never met Flipper! Although he might have come into my show once. He looks familiar. And not just cause I remember his old avatar picture.

Seriously Karen, that's AWESOME. Sure glad you had a chance to go out there!

We have met but it was a long time ago at the Canton Grill. Not when you were a KJ there but you were just out singing. Just a brief meet and greet type thing.

I tried getting into see you at Queen of Hearts but by the time I finally did you were gone from there. It was hard to get a night off during that time as I was working fulltime and then gigging 5-6 nights a week as well. Whew....glad those days are over...LOL

I KNEW I'd seen you before! The name Scott was ringing in that cobwebby space between my ears! LOL!

And yeah, that Sat night thing at Queen of Hearts... very hard to get other hosts to meet me when that's one of their busiest nights!

Yes, Myspace and great website. Drummer is very savvy about such things. Since the recordings on the site, the new 'kid' from Peru has stepped in on leads, and Joe is no longer playing bass, just fronting. They really are an amazing original band.
