I was in the Navy and stationed two years in Pearl Harbor. The guys would talk about the weather and I was one of the ones who said, "I miss the change of the seasons". Well, that first Illinois winter I changed my tune. I would much rather have been walking around in shorts and a t-shirt with flip-flops on.
In my mind, Honolulu has the ideal weather (or San Diego, I can never decide). A lot of people don't know this about Honolulu -- the everyday high temp is 90 or 91 degrees in the summer. Rarely varies from that. The all-time high is 92. Now that is consistently great weather. In the winter, it is the perfect weather for me. 83 or 84 as the daytime high if I recall, and 61 or 62 as the low.

San Diego, undoubtedly, the best!

humidity in Hawaii.....? Where????
depends on where you are. The trades are breezy and very nice this time of year, and almost all year 'round. Maybe you visited Kauai Eric?

Certainly not on Oahu or Mauai. I spent a lot of time in different places on those islands and the humidity was always running in the 40-50% range. The trade winds send gentle breezes across, and regular short rainfall seems to condense any humidity that might threaten. Delightful. Certainly the best weather I had where I lived as an adult. Summer or winter.
I lived in Florida for a year, too, and that is a different story. In the summer it is like walking out into a steam bath. Especially on the west coast.

Back to the thread it is a kick to post at a gig. I have a host doing the show and i sit there playing and downloading songs. I finally got to the point where I woudnt go anywhere without a cell phone Now I need the laptop too. I tend to drift towards bars with Wifi access.
Aboard ship I experienced from sub zero weather in the Arctic circle (Blue Nose) to 130 degrees with 20 foot seas. We run from hurricanes on the East coast a few times. I too know the relief from late afternoon cool sea breezes. I will never get used to lizards zipping across the table eying my cheese burger..

Hmm, middle of November and it was 80 degrees here. Sunny and hot. Gotta love the California weather.

Woo Hoo!!
Good one, Lon.
I just finished a gig.
There was apparently internet available, but I couldn't connect for some reason.
Kinda choked me, really.
Oh well.
It was a private staff party and they all seemed to enjoy themselves, but I found it a little on the boring side.
Not sure why. Maybe because the crowd was so small and they really weren't "karaoke people", if you know what I mean.
I also had a mic swinger.
Broke his cherryoke and he seemed to think that's what you do.... swing the mic.
Yikes!!! Some people!
Added:
I'm going to have to stop typing in the dark..... It leads to far too much editing for typos after the fact, because I can't see the darn keyboard!

Diafel, you mentioned your staff party was a little boring...
I think it was because you didn't have your BUBBLE MACHINE there!

Actually, I think it was the lack of a light show and a snow machine.
Though I could have used the snow machine that was sitting outside. The gig was at the ski hill.
You want a snow machine? Now THAT'S a SNOW MACHINE!

I dont know where diafel is located , but im half way between madison and milwaukee here. Our high today was a balmy 30. 2 weeks ago was just under 80...(hugh???) . I love the weather in Wisconsin Hot and humid in summer , cold as all get out in winter. if you don't like the weather wait a couple days it will change.
