Karaoke Ware (maker of CompuHost) released a pre beta version of their new CD+G Ripping Software 2.0. Regarding to them, the ripping engine was brought into the "21 Century". I'm really excited! This is the announcement from their forums: Quote: Dear CDGRip user,

This could not be more timely...I am in the process of evaluating Compuhost Karaoke Pilots software and one other Hoster...for our shows...Have you any advice on these products or can anyone give advice as to which one is the best or most reliable to use...we have to convert over 300 disc's so this will take some time. I am looking for advice form you guys because you all have much more experience than I do when it comes to the Computer Karaoke side...Thanks in advance for your help...

I haven't tried it, yet. But I will later today. I have one German Karaoke disc (I'm German, yeah yeah) that always gave me headaches with any ripper. Not, that it wouldn't work, but no matter what ripper I tried, it always had little artifacts in it. Not bad, but it did. I will try that disk again and let you know. Regarding to CompuHost as a Hosting Program. I can absolutely vouch for it. It is IMHO the best out there right now. |

Ok, I was just too curious to not try it out... Result: An absolute clean cd+g rip, I couldn't even get with Power CDG Burner. This is all I say. |

I just tried it out and same as you, PERFECT RIPS! For those wishing to try it, it is only available on their user forums since it is in beta. The one available on their website is NOT the new one, hopefully they'll release it to everyone soon. tbreen |
