She'll be at a venue very close to my home in December - I'm excited. She is one of the most incredibly great singers of our time. Glad to see they're paying more attention to her now with karaoke.

That's great Karen !

To many times the great voices are never heard. Talent has been replaced with appearances and advertising.

She is amazing, of course based only on listening to the recording only. I don't know how she is on entertainment value. She was the original Christine on Phantom. Trivia, who was the original Phantom?

She has amazing original soprano voice. She is definitely trained classically. You can hear from her amazing voice. For me, I love operatic voice but I also appreciate rock voice. One of more amazing voice I heard is Lea Salong, the original Kim from Miss Saigon. She's been many other musicals, such as Les Miz.

I would love to hear her live, do you have extra ticket and a plane ticket for me to come see it with you?

HUGE fan...I taught myself to sing by listening to her. She's going to be here this month, but tickets are just too far out of my budget...*sigh* There's quite a bit of amazing new technology going into this production, and I so wish I could afford tickets....*sigh*

Eben: I'll grab you a ticket! You're on your own for the plane ticket, tho.

Funny thing is, the venue she'll play at holds only about 8000 people. Not a bad seat in the house - it is the hockey arena that our WHL team uses...lots of great concerts there - saw Bryan Adams there, Def Leppard, Skynyrd -- we're fortunate that it's close and not too expensive. Skate America just finished there last week - made our little town over $3 million in tourist bucks - and boy do we need it.

I'm excited about SB...WOOHOOO! Merry Christmas To Me!

ONLY? You must get great crowds there. That is a really decent-sized venue for anything but arena acts.

How is the Tacoma Dome as a venue? I have driven by it hundreds of times but never been there....

Tacoma Dome is huge - really only good for those arena acts - although I've seen Reba McEntire there, as well as George Strait - I don't know the seating but it can take 30 minutes to get to your seat. Too big for my liking, but I believe ACDC sold out there in no time at all. There are a lot of smaller, more intimate venues around but the big name acts like the T/D or GM Place in Vancouver, which is similar to the TD. I guess we're fortunate, we have a great variety of venues and the big name acts love the PNW.

Is this the same Sarah Brightman that did:
I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper?

If so that is the only song I have ever heard from her.

Love Sarah Brightman. Its a shame that not many people sing her songs. I've posted a couple myself, but apparently a lot of people aren't all that familiar with her material.

Heck yeah! And it is the most wonderfully awful music video of all time!

She's done quite well for herself since then...

That would be Michael Crawford. I enjoyed his tenor voice. I think I much prefer a baritone in this role though.

Yes, Lea Salonga has an amazing voice. I was fortunate to see her in the Honolulu performance of Les Miz. Incredible!
