After going through 2 of the Wal-Mart karaoke systems I want to purchase a simple Karaoke system for home use. I have looked at numerous karaoke systems, but can’t find one that has the features I want. I want one that has a camera or video input for a camera so you can see the singers on the TV with the lyrics. I want it to use my stereo and TV. I found the “magic mic” series, and it sounded good until I read that the music was midi instead of the real music. Is there something out there that will do this stuff? Thanks for the help.

No "singers on the video" package that I have ever heard of. You also won't find anyone here recommending you use your stereo. Of course you can use your TV.

We usually recommend a low-end PA system for home use -- look at

for ideas.

I've seen several stores with one like that(built in camera) for around 70 bucks....I may be wrong, but I doubt it lays the lyrics over the singers, because that would require a video mixer which would add quite a bit to the cost. Try the karaoke with your stereo, and if it suits your needs, and your happy with the results, save your money.......

I found a couple that do what I want at www.singingmachine.com. Are these machines decent quality? Also, I can't find any place that sells the two that I like online.

I was looking at...
SMVG-608
and
SMVG-610

Any opinions on either of these two units, or any ideas where to buy them?
