First, hello to everyone, hope you're having a happy holiday season. NOW, the subject at hand. I've posted a few times on this forum, and I've come to this forum without posting, so I can LEARN about KARAOKE. Hence the name KARAOKE FORUM.
If I wanted to learn about ENGLISH GRAMMAR, I'd go to ENGLISH GRAMMAR FORUM.
Or if I wanted to LEARN about SCHOOLYARD BULL**** FORUM, I'd go to the SCHOOLYARD BULL**** FORUM. Some people that come on this forum ACTUALLY WANT YOUR HELP. However, I have noticed that SOME of the people on this site would rather ARGUE, and make VICIOUS PERSONAL ATTACKS, against each other, instead of HELPING the person asking the ORIGINAL QUESTION.
From my humble point of view, THAT'S NOT FAIR, to the person asking the question. They come here for advise, (and don't get me wrong here), SOME of the people are giving GREAT ADVICE, but somewhere along the way, it turns into a SCHOOLYARD again. This one said this, and that one said that, and so on, and so on, and so on. I personally think that if the people RESPONDING TO THE QUESTION would leave their EGO's out of the discussion, alot more people would be posting questions, and ALL OF YOU could really have a chance to show YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
I know I'll probably NEVER get any help on this forum, after posting this, but if that's the way it is, SO BE IT.

Respectfully,

Rosario SERENITY NOW KARAOKE

All I can say is that I agree and as I said in the "ignore option" thread, I will henceforth try my best to refrain from responding to the bait left out.
Having said that, there is much that you are not seeing as much has been removed, so you don't get the whole picture.
There is also a certain amount of history going on, not just with me, and I don't expect you to care, as you rightly shouldn't.
Now, having said that, perhaps this rant would have been better posted under the "ignore option" thread where it would fit nicely in continuity-wise, rather than open up yet another thread to possible flaming, ranting, etc?

Diafel, thanks for your response. I didn't post this thread on the "ignore button" thread, because I didn't want it to be misconstrued as it being directed to anyone personally, therefore, I thought this way it would be in the open, and ANYONE could look at with an OPEN mind. If you would like to add my ORIGINAL THREAD to the "ignore button" thread, please be my guest. Sorry, but I don't know how to maneuver items from one thread to another.
Again, thank you for your interest, hope I'm not "ranting" too much.

Sincerely,

Rosario SERENITY NOW KARAOKE

ps, I don't know where my llast response went to, I used the little reply button, Sorry to whoever got it.

I think only moderators can move a thread.
As to posting to a thread, you are more than welcome to post to ANY thread at any time!
I wouldn't have worried about pointing the finger, we all know who we are and who we aren't. No worries there! LOL
PS: Don't worry, you'll still get help from almost all of us.
Cheers!

1st thing - Welcome ! - Secondly if you've been on any forums you'll find a holes everywhere. The worse thing you can do is confront them or acknowledge their stupididy(sp) or rudeness. THE BEST THING IS TO IGNORE THEM. I've been around here for a few years and seen all the riff raff eventually leave - Hang in there and never feel you should not ask or discuss anything. There are more GOOD apples than bad here. Now I'm taking my ball and leaving

One nice thing about this forum is that there is 6 years of really good information on here for anyone who wants to search on a particular subject and learn from it.

There are plenty really good folks on here and yes there are those who love to puff their chests out and bully others. Every forum has them and you cannot avoid them.

As far as karaoke goes this is kind of the final frontier for good karaoke social sites.

So where do you go from here? I know of no other place where you can go and still find a high concentration of seasoned KJ's and people who truly love karaoke.

My suggestion is to just ignore those threads that make you feel that way. Don't read them if they bother you to do so. There are many threads I start reading and end up clicking out of because they get into an all out feud or someone is baiting another to draw them into a fight. Remember you are in control of your mouse and your emotions.

By the way welcome to Karaoke Scene!

Believe it or not, when I joined last February it was a lot worse. I looked around and said to myself "Wowee there's a lot of egos in here!"

I was originally just going to grab some info on going computer and get out. But then I discovered that mixed in with the blowhards there were also some decent people.

So here I am. Still.

I think you'll find people to hang with if you keep checking in.

Love your business name Rosario. If only...

Thanks for the response, I'm starting to learn more about this site, as I think it will be a big asset to me as I get more involved in the karaoke business. I know there alot of good people on this site, and have been around the block a couple of times, so I'm sure I'll able to navigate past the other ones. I just went on the lounge forum for the first time, and saw some really funny stuff, so I know I'll be around for a while. Again, thanks to all.

Rosario

I've been on several Bulletin Board or Forums, whatever you want t call them.
Some people are nice, some are not so nice. It's a mirror of the population out there. Take what you can, learn what you can, make friends with those that you like and try to ignore the jerks and arrogant people. If you take, try to to give something back. If you've received some help or knowledge, help someone else and share the knowledge you've gained. Bottom line? There are jerks and miscreants wherever you go, deal with them the best that you can.
