I'm a man of...hmmm...not much wealth and no fame either...
I'm 55 yrs old (probably the oldest person on this board) and I'm trying to improve my singing and guitar playing. I just started singing karaoke and I'm having a lot of fun. I bought a home player that I hooked up to my stereo system and a bunch of cdgs.
My first karaoke experience was a disaster. It was about 10 years ago and I tried to sing Neon Moon by Brooks & Dunn. I had never tried karaoke before anywhere and I didn't realize how tricky it can be. I couldn't find the key or the beat. It was terrible...
My favorite genre is country but I like classic rock too.
Tom

Now that's funny;) Age is only what you make of it. 55 is young. Heck, I thought I was going to start hearing bones pop and crackle when I turned 40 this year... but I got over it. You're only as old as you want to be.
(hi, i'm Charmin and i'm 25, Lol)
Welcome to the site Tom...

Welcome, I started singing at age 51, three years ago. My singing has improved and I'm still learning. I usually frequent the technical forum. Working on improving my equipment and how to use what I have. Go for it!

There is some distinct geezerness in here, but with it comes some wise advice. At least I have another country fan in here.
