Something I recently bought for my other half cos I dont sing but I like to mess with stuff, connecting things, testing etc.. 2x EV ZX-1 Speakers with 2x Hercules Speaker Stand Dynacord Powersub 315 Yamaha MG124CX Mixer 2x EV ND967 Microphone 1x Karaoke Player, some asian brand where it has a HDD play mp3,midi and normal DVD disc, it preload with some 3000 songs. I'm building her a Media PC that hook up to our 5 TB NAS media array where I house all my stuff and dump all her Karaoke stuff on there and she just pick and chose the song she want without ever swap disc or look for DVD again. |

Actually Lonman, by personal I meant "the one that you use". I figured the people who are KJ's here would probably list their gig setup and others might list their home setup. Basically the one you use most often. |

Well the one I use most often IS my gig rig since I work on it 7 nights a week, but as a host I do not sing so I guess I don't really use it in that respect. My personal home system is what I listed above. |

Ok, I'll bite, this is officially the first time I have actually posted my gear or at least a partial list, (don't faint Vicki). I will forgo the two ten space racks filled with mistakes and non essential gear I no longer use. Karaoke isn't the primary use of my gear but it does fill that role when needed. Tops: 2 Yorkville U15P's Three way, tri powered speaker with 600 watts on the 15's, 150 watts on the three 5's and 150 watts on the compression driver. B&C loaded. Bottoms: 2 Yorkville LS800P Self powered, single 18, B&C loaded, rated @ 1500 watts each. Mic's: 1 SM57, 1 SM 58, 3 Beta 58's, 1 old Nady 201 wireless with a SM58 head. Mixer: Allen & Heath MixWiz 14:4:2 Monitor Amp: Yamaha P5000S with a Peavey QF131 FLS 31 band graphic EQ and Yamaha MG12/4 FX mixer. Monitors: 2 Carvin 722's. actually now just the cabinets are Carvin, they are loaded with Eminence Delta Pro-12A, Selenium crossovers and Emilar EC175 Compression drivers. Processors: Lexicon MPX1, Roland SDE 1000, Alesis XT. All other speaker management and processing is handled by a DBX Driverack PA. Laptop: Compaq Presario running PCDJ-KJ Am I happy with it? Absolutely, easy to transport and setup, Sounds fantastic and enough power to handle any situation. I may switch computers and software someday though. |
