all--

oops, i think i may have broken the rules... i made a post to the technical questions forum about 2 min ago because that was what brought me here... a technical question!

anyway, i'm early 20s, live in miami beach, and though i'm not a big karaoke buff (stage fright!), i've sung my whole life (choir, a capella, etc). my boyfriend, on the other hand, is also a singer but a total ham, so he loOoOoves karaoke. i'm trying to figure out the home karaoke set-up thing so that we can enjoy it more together. we were in tokyo together a few weeks ago and ended up having a BLAST in a private room, so that's what i envision for our living room :)

I have psychic abilities and I can tell your future.

You will become more comfortable singing karaoke in private and then one day you'll be out with your boyfriend and...

you'll submit a karaoke slip. You'll sit there all scared and worry until the KJ calls your name. You'll go up there and start singing and then realize "Hey this is fun!" and you'll be hooked.

you had to do it in a private room???..... :lol: I can just see the two of you singing on the street, and an old Japanese woman yelling at you "get a room for god's sake".......welcome.....
