Just want to wish everyone an awesome Christmas and a fantasic 2009, in case I don't get a chance next week. I know some people don't celebrate Christmas, but let me share a view or two on the subject. To the dismay of some people, Christmas is no longer just about religion. For many, it's a time to be off work, enjoy your friends and family, and break a few every day rules, when it comes to eating, drinking, and buying a few presents for family, friends, and sometimes for people less fortunate than yourself. Many people say they don't celebrate Christmas, but you can believe, that these same people actually celebrate Christmas......"all the way to the bank". A huge percentage of retailers, look for the Christmas holiday to actually move their income from the red to the black. Christmas creates jobs, not to mention the many, popular throughout the world, songs and movies inspired by the season. I can't think of any popular songs or movies that have been created pertaining to other holidays occurring around Christmas time, but I do wish to tell the people celebrating these holidays to have the most wonderful experience doing so, and have a prosperous New Year, even if that new year doesn't occur at the same time as mine, or has a different progressive number....Peace and Prosperity to all.....and a good orgasm every now and then helps too..........

Thanks JR and Brenda and I wish you a very happy Christmas and New Year too. A great thing I like about Christmas is the occasional heart-warming story that occurs at this time of the year. An example of such was told to me last night at the dinner table.... Brenda told me that one of the Bank's customers came in and told her he wished to give $500 to a needy family in the area and asked her to find a family in the region that could be helped in a big way to have a Christmas that they would not be able to have otherwise. The customer stipulated that in no way did he want it be known who had donated the money... he wasn't doing it for recognition, only to help a family that really could do with a bit of Christmas spirit.
Yes, Christmas sometimes does bring out the best in humanity and compassion.

Kinda late getting here, but....
Hope everyone here had a wonderful Christmas.
I sure did. (i got my white christmas after about 20 years grumping about how unfair it is that I never have one) All my kids & 2 grandsons are healthy and happy and were with me on Christmas day... My Christmas dinner was a hit with everyone... ... and I'm sitting here stuffed full of pecan & apple pie by the fire, feeling all content & lazy.
Life is grand at the moment, and I'm very much looking forward to what's ahead for me in the new year.
Hope you all had as awesome of a day, and I wish you all & your families happiness in the new year.
(wow, what a speech Charm)

Thanks Johnny. Your words prove to be true that Christmas is just a holiday for seeking a little peace of mind for many. I have a friend who claims to be an atheist, but displays Christmas lights in his home's front window? I bid him a Merry f'ing Lucifer when I handed him his Christmas present.....a big bottle of Jack Daniels.
I always seem to feel alone at Christmas.....even with family around? Maybe I'm not feeling the presence of my Lord Jesus Christ? It's definitely a confusing time of the year for me. Maybe I think I'm not suppose to enjoy it because I'm not a kid anymore? Or maybe I'm just not into playing with little kid's heads with the whole Santa Claus thing? I know it was nice to watch my Grandson receive the gifts that we....I mean Santa brought him, but there's just something that irks me about the whole thing. I would've rather given to someone who really needs help as a goodwill gesture. The few dollars we throw in the little red Salvation Army bucket leaving the grocery isn't really enough, but probably helps once all is collected.
It's a fact.....we're a world of takers. And to me, Christmas just exemplifies it. I always request of everyone to not waste their money on me at all for something I don't need or want, but someone always ignores that request. I just give money....it's the best thing going besides unconditional love. Okay, I am loved....I get it. But do I really want it? Someone else probably needs it more than I do.
My idea of Christmas is someone receiving some form of totally unexpected recognition from an unlikely source. That kinda blows the lid off of the traditional Christmas mindset.
Maybe someday Jesus Christ will fall down the chimney and say......HOT D*MN! These people don't need anything else! And they didn't even invite me to their party!
But none the less, the season of giving and taking will carry on as usual, so my best wishes also to everyone for peace and prosperity and a Happier New Year!
Your wacked out friend.......Perry
