Has anyone ever heard of this KV2 Audio company?

http://www.kv2audio.com/products.asp

I just bought this active subwoofer to match my EV-ZX1

So far, really impressed with it's quality; built solid, not too heavy and talk about alot of power :shock:

Hi Micky,

Thanks for pointing those out. I'm in the market for a sub and their 2.5 seems to have the specs I need. Has anyone any experience with those? Quality? Sound?

The ES 2.5 is a beast. I know a guy that has a pair.

I think the output is much higher than the boasted SPL leader Yorkville LS800P.

The KV2 stuff is expensive though.

I found the MSRP from the Canadian distributor;

My new KX 1.2 is listed at $1480.00 but I paid $699.00, so the ES 2.5 is listed at $3,300.00, I guess it would cost half in Cdn dollars??? Keep in mind that our dollar is very weak now and buying in US dollars you could make a great deal, even after shipping :wink:

This sub is extremely well built and I tested it while no one was home, it kicks like crazy and lot's of control!

Here's something from ProSound Europe. I'd imagine if you do a ProSound Europe site search of their names you may find where they're coming from.

They look like they're vying for a total systems add-on approach. Everything is integrated in design. I would be interested as to where and how they manufacture their drivers. It looks like they design their own.

The company was created by 2 guy's who designed for Mackie , RCF and others... Check their 2005 catalogue, more to learn...

I don't think I can resist very long, I might end up opening my EX 1.2 just to see the driver :wink: I wouldn't be surprised to find an RCF driver :roll:

I tell you, extremely well built :shock: Built in China BTW, but that's to be expected :wink: What's not :roll:

Did they design their own drivers at the time they made the 1.2?

The one that I was eyeballing was a Renkus-Heinz sub module. It has some other goodies onboard and lists at around 5Gs. That's advertised so I'm sure it can be had for less. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have 2x15 neodymiums so it's about 200 lbs. What I do like is the SPL is 133 dB program and 136 dB peak. It sports a couple of Class-Ds at 850 Watts RMS, 950 Watts Program for each driver. There's bound to be more products like these in the coming year. Some companies have paved the way for these technologies and hopefully they will continue their efforts.

Have you heard FBT Amico subs?
