Now that is pretty good technology as far as I am concerned. I can think of several uses for a small screen like that. Too bad you have to load the songs into the little cube though. At least that is what it looked like they were doing to me.

In the movie 1941, the best line may have been by the Japanese sub commander when he bumped his head on the huge radio.

The missle tracking and guidance radars I worked on was all tubes. Two systems in cabinets would take up a large living room.

The parabolic antenna upper left is the guidance radar. I worked on it about 5 years an 2 on the other.

Had to crawl inside to work on and align while radiating

Control console. There was nothing like a live missle shot and trying to hit a 9 foot drone.. The rack on the right is a 19" rack with tube chassis that swung out for service. Heat!!
